During a ceremony held, Friday, Sept. 16 at the National Palace, the President Michel Martelly introduced six new Directors General.

After the nominations of Yves Germain as Director General of the National center of Equipments (CNE) , of Jean Marc Flambert as Director General of the National Office of Civil Aviation (OFNAC) and of Jean Marie Guillaume at the head of the National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL), [Official Journal "Le Moniteur" dated September 2 2011], these 6 new nominations, bring to 9 the number of Directors General appointed by the Head of State.

These nominations put an end to the careers of several high administration officials of the Préval administration, leaving more space to the sector neo-Duvalier and allies of the President, who said for his part, having named these Directors General on criteria of skill, recalling to the new nominees, that they will now have to deserve his confidence by responding to the expectations of the people of Haiti.

6 New Directors General :

• Mr. Donald Paraison : Director General of SMCRS (Metropolitan Service for Solid Waste Collection) [replaces Paulémon Germain]

• Mr. Claude Raymond Jr : Deputy Director General for Immigration [son of the deceased General, Claude Raymond and Cousin of Josefa Gauthier]

• Ms. Josefa Raymond Gauthier : Director General of Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) [daughter of Adrien Raymond, former Minister under Duvalier] [replaces Harry Adam]

• Mr. Francel Saintilien : Director General of the General Administration of Customs [replaces Jean-Jacques Valentin]

• Ms. Patricia Dominique J. Martin : Coordinator of the National program of school canteens

• Mr. Pierre André Laguerre : Director General of the National Airports Authority (AAN) [replaces Carl Ferrailleur]
