Following to the revocation, on September 1, 2011, of Me Sonel Jean François, the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince operated without Commissioner of the Government. This position has just been filled by the appointment of Me Félix Léger. Me Léger occupied since 2006 the function of substitute of Government to the Public Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince. He will be responsible of many sensitive file among others : the case Vanel Lacroix, the assassination of Guyteau Toussaint and the file of the police officer shot dead in the BRH...

Recall that Me Sonel Jean-François, had received his letter of resignation signed by the hand of the outgoing Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive, which accused the commissioner of "serious violation" of the constitution, in the case of the convening of Minister of the Interior and Territorial Collectivities (MICT) for alleged corruption... A prerogative that falls within the Chamber of Deputies and which constitutes a violation of Article 186, paragraph 2, of the Constitution...
