iciHaiti - Canaan : A PNH tank set on fire by bandits

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, heavily armed individuals operating in the Canaan area set fire to an armored vehicle of the Haitian National Police (PNH) vehicle that was stuck in a hole on the side of National Road #1 leading to Canaan.

The police inside were able to evacuate the vehicle in time and leave the scene thanks to the reinforcements of their colleagues.

No police casualties were reported.

It is not known if it is one of the new armored vehicles purchased in Canada by the PNH, the Divisional Inspector Garry Desrosiers Spokesperson of the PNH having made no statement on this incident...
