GLOBAL SITUATION 2019-2022:
On Friday November 11, 2022, the number of people infected worldwide with the Covid-19 coronavirus and its variants since the start of the pandemic (March 11, 2020) amounted to 639,492,525 cases (+502,181 in 24h), preceding (+526,634 in 24h)

Number of infected countries: 228

*Healings: 619,018,477 people have been cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+324,171 in 24 hours), previous (+361,180 in 24 hours)
*Deaths: 6,612,091 people have died of Covid-19 worldwide since the start of the pandemic (+1,714 in 24 hours), previous (+2,190 in 24 hours)
*Active cases (less deaths and recoveries) in the world is currently 13,861,957 cases (+176,296 in 24 hours), previous (+163,264 in 24 hours)

Cure rate in the world: 96.79% (-)

Death rate in the world: 1.03% (=)

HAITI:
Due to the climate of violence, insecurity for field staff and the lack of fuel in Haiti, the Ministry of Health has decided to publish weekly reports, called epidemiological weeks, instead of daily reports, including we publish the essential data.

Epidemiological Week (SE) 42 from October 16 to 22 (last SE available):

Tests carried out: 222,541 cumulative (+232 in 7 days or 3.3 daily tests on average per department). The number of tests carried out for the whole of the national territory is statistically insufficient to be representative of the real health situation, which results in a number of confirmed cases that is largely underestimated in the opinion of specialists in the health (WHO, PAHO among others….

Confirmed cases: 33,828 cumulative (+17 new cases in 7 days)

Deaths: 860 cumulative (+3 in 7 days)

Hospitalizations: 5,682 cumulative (+2 in 7 days)

Recovered (heals): 32,729 cumulative (96.7%)

Note: Cumulative cases are calculated from the first confirmed case in Haiti on March 19, 2020

Death rate: 2.54% (+)

Positivity rate: 15.2% (=)

Breakdown: Women: 48.8% Men 51.2%

West: 21,367 cumulative cases (+6 in 7 days). Positivity rate 15.6%. Mortality rate 1.90%
Center: 1,961 cumulative cases (+3 in 7 days). Positivity rate 14.1%. Mortality rate 5.41%
Artibonite: 1,860 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 11.5%. Mortality rate 4.46%
North: 1,743 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 13.2%. Mortality rate 5.05%
South: 1,486 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 20.5%. Mortality rate 3.90%
South-East: 1,428 cumulative cases (+1 in 7 days). Positivity rate 16.9%. Mortality rate 1.75%
Grand’Anse: 1,350 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 17.0%. Mortality rate 1.48%
North-West: 1,084 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 15.7%. Mortality rate 2.58%
North-East: 1,003 cumulative cases (+0 in 7 days). Positivity rate 12.4%. Mortality rate 1.30%
Nippes: 546 cumulative cases (+7 in 7 days). Positivity rate 14.1%. Mortality rate 5.86%

Vaccination:
396,414 Haitians (3.41% of the population) have received a 1st dose of vaccine since July 16, 2021, the date of the first injection through 149 open vaccination centers and 235,288 Haitians are fully vaccinated (2 doses, 2.02% of the population). Update October 15, 2022 latest information available (source MSPP).
