November 3rd, 2022: (First confirmed case October 3rd, 2022)

Total suspected cases since October 3: 4,655 cases +892 cases +23.5% in 2 days (previous: + 334 suspected cases in 2 days)

Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration

Total confirmed cases since October 3: 523 cases +46 cases (+9.64% in 2 days) previous: 477 cases)

Any suspect or probable case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae”

Total suspected cases hospitalized: 3.995 cases +766 (+23.72% in 2 days, previous: 3,229 hospitalized)

Total institutional deaths since October 3: 106 deaths (67 institutional, including national penitentiary and 39 community) +17 deaths (+ 19.1% in 2 days), previous: 89 deaths.

Community death: Any suspected case that dies outside of a caring institution.

1-4 years: 900 cases (+192)

5-9 years: 518 cases (+47)

10-14 years: 279 cases (+56)

15-19 years old: 229 cases (+52)

40-49 years old: 466 cases (+116)

50-59 years old: 310 cases (+74)

60-69 years old: 188 cases (+41)

70-79 years old: 89 cases (+13)

80 years and over: 17 cases (+2)

The Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health has just confirmed 2 cases of cholera for the department of Grand'Anse, (1 for Pestel and 1 for Jérémie).
