The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) has published the 2021 statistical report on the Haitian health system.

This report, prepared by the Studies and Programming Unit and the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research (DELR), aims to contribute to meeting the challenge of the availability of quality information on the performance of interventions and the level of implementation of action plans and health services at the country level.

This report provides important information on the health system, including demographic indicators, morbidity, mortality, service coverage, distribution of health infrastructure and health professionals. It also provides information on the availability of care and the epidemiological profile of the country.

Note that in 2021 only 19.28% of the Haitian population benefited from basic health services, a very slight improvement compared to 2020 (18.8%)
