Haiti - FLASH : False statement by Minister Dorcé, the Palace of Justice is occupied by bandits (Video)

Following the assault on Friday June 10, 2022 by the "5 seconds" gang of the Palace of Justice of Port au Prince, contrary to what the Minister of Justice Berto Dorcé had declared on the same day, that the police had regained control of the court and the area with armored vehicles claiming that the members of the Village-de-Dieu gang "[...] fired on the court but could not enter it" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36885-haiti-flash-the-palace-of-justice-stormed-by-the-5-seconds-gang.html , the courthouse on Monday was still under control since Friday by members of the gang "5 seconds" led by the formidable Chef "Izo".

It is not known whether people who were in the courthouse at the time of the assault were taken hostage by the bandits...

According to testimonies from lawyers who were on site during the assault, the bandits broke windows of the building to enter, then ransacked the offices in search of evidence (weapons, drugs, money, etc...) and looted and stole anything that had any use. A large number of heavily armed bandits control the place.

The balance of power seems to be for the moment in favor of the bandits, hence the non-intervention of the police who are undoubtedly studying the situation in search of the best solution to regain control of the courthouse...
