This Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 10:26 a.m. and 26 seconds in the morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Haiti at sea off Turtle Island (Northwest Dept.)

The epicenter was located at 20.16 degrees North latitude and 72.83 degrees West longitude, 8 km from Turtle Island (North-West Dept.), 24 km north of Port-de-Paix, 81 km northwest of Cap-Haitien (North Dept.) and 182km northwest of Port-au-Prince (West Dept.), at a depth of 4 km.

No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by the Civil Protection in relation to this new earthquake...
