Haiti - USA : 88 Haitian boat-people repatriated by the US Coast Guard

Sunday, April 10, 2022, the crew of the vessel THETIS (WMEC-910) of the United States Coast Guard repatriated safe and sound, 88 Haitian migrants (62 men and 26 women) intercepted Tuesday, April 5 north of Sagua La Grande (Cuba ) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36362-haiti-news-zapping.html aboard an excessively overloaded sailboat which was also taking on water.

"We ask families in the United States not to encourage their loved ones in Haiti to make this dangerous journey," said Lt. Connor Ives, law enforcement officer in Coast Guard District 7, noting "The risk of loss of life is great on these dangerous boats."
