Thursday, April 7, 2002, the engineer Rosemond Pradel Minister of Public Works met with Orlando Maneir the Ambassador of Venezuela accredited to Haiti.

This meeting allowed the two men to reflect on the ways and means to increase the production capacity of the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) especially in the metropolitan area.

They also discussed the mechanisms that will make it possible in the short term to achieve an interconnection of the electricity networks.
