Haiti - Politic : Words of President Martelly today...

During a visit to the Directorate General of Taxes [DGI], as part of the week of the Governance [initiated Monday of last week...] the Head of State said, "Importers, NGOs, major contributors, people, all you must pay taxes [...] it's necessary that the money from the State, provides service to all the citizens of the country."

Speaking of decentralization, the President Martelly has indicated : "a person does not need to come from Les Cayes, Jacmel, Cap Haitien or Pétion Ville to make its license to Port-au-Prince [...] Port de Paix, Gonaives and the other cities, will provide the same services in the coming weeks."

The President of the Republic also visited the National School of Magistrates, where he said that "the Haitian State must be at the service of the citizens." On the social networks, Michel Martelly said that "the fight against preventive detention, will be a priority of my government" adding and recalling that "the justice must be accessible and fair."

Finally, the Head of State has indicated that he "undertakes steps for the reconstruction of the Legislative Palace, whose the building was destroyed by the earthquake of January 12, 2010."
