The Ministry of Public Health informs the public in general, the deans of the faculties of medicine, the graduating students and the departmental health directorates in particular, that it has been decided to temporarily suspend the choice of posts for the social service, year 2021-2022.

This decision follows the acts of vandalism perpetrated by students of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University at the premises of the Directorate of Training and Development in Health Sciences on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. The Ministry condemns with the utmost rigor the unspeakable actions of these professionals who have, however, vocation to provide care to the population.

The Ministry reminds everyone that the choice of positions for the social service is made according to criteria previously defined and accepted by the heads of the various recognized medical faculties, which criteria are applied from year to year with the greatest transparency. Nothing justifies, for whatever reason, that we can physically attack the management in charge of the process.

The Ministry cannot tolerate such abuses and intends to do everything in its power to prevent the repetition of such events and intends to refer this matter to the judicial authorities so that the authors, co-authors and accomplices of these dishonest acts are brought to justice.
