On Tuesday, the United Nations Children's Fund, (UNICEF) warned that 1.2 million people "are currently affected" by the tropical depression Grace, including some 540,000 children who were affected by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that affected the South of Haiti on August 14, 2021, which according to the latest partial report resulted in 1,941 dead and more than 9,900 injured https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34516-haiti-flash-nearly-2-000-dead-and-10-000-injured-partial-assessment.html

"Currently, around half a million Haitian children have little or no access to shelter, clean water, medical care and food," said Bruno Maes, the Representative. of UNICEF in Haiti.
