Haiti - Social : The displacement of families around the stadium Sylvio Cator is completed

The operation of relocation of the 440 displaced families, who occupied the area around the Stade Sylvio Cator ended Tuesday, has informed the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince. According to Fresnel Louis, his communications director, several sites have been equipped to accommodate the families whose one at the Bicentenaire and another to Carousel in the zone of Martissant.

Some families chose to return in their neighborhoods of origin, he indicated, noting that all families have received an assistance of USD$250.

The National Movement of the Dessalinienne (MND) congratulated the congratulated the town hall for its efforts aiming to liberate the public places and encourage the municipal authorities to continue these operations, in strict accordance with the rights of citizens and ensure that the new space of accommodation offer access to all basic services.
