Haiti - Japan : 2 new projects funded by Japan

On Tuesday, the Embassy of Japan in Haiti signed two grant contracts in the areas of Agriculture and Education, at the level of the departments of the Center (Hinche and Lascahobas). The ceremony took place in the presence of the Japanese Ambassador to Haiti, Mr. Mizuno Mitsuaki and representatives of the two local beneficiary organizations. These projects are carried out under the "Aid in the form of Donations to Local Micro-Projects contributing to Human Security (LPA)" program and the total amount of funding for these two projects totals US $ 321,055.00.

The second project "The Lacolline Community School Construction Project" funded to the tune of 175,634.00 US dollars, will be executed by the Training Center for Deprived Children (CFED) in order to facilitate access to basic education and create better learning conditions for children. It is expected, according to the CFED, that these figures will be almost doubled after the project by the adoption of the double-shift system.
