Haiti - FLASH : The former mayor of Port-au-Prince, wanted by the PNH

Monday, February 8, 2021, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) published a search notice against the former mayor of Port-au-Prince Youri Ralph Chevry (elected in 2016) and active activist in the opposition radical.

He is accused of murder, attempted murder, destruction of public and private property and criminal conspiracy.

The PNH asks the population in case of identification or location to call the following numbers :

3838-1111 and 3106-0573

Reacting to this wanted notice Me André Michel Spokesman for the radical opposition of the so-called "Democratic and Popular" sector defended his comrade in the fight, declaring on his Twitter account "The Democratic and Popular Sector rejects the wanted notice issued against one of its leaders, the former Mayor of the Capital, Ralph Youri Chévry. This is an act of intimidation and unacceptable political repression."
