Among those arrested were among others the judge at the Court of Cassation Ivickel Dabrésil who was to be installed as provisional President and the Inspector General of theNational Police of Haiti, Marie Louise Gauthier...

Let's recall that the Head of State announced the failure of this coup on Sunday morning on the tarmac of Toussaint Louverture International Airport https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32965-haiti-news-zapping.html

In the early afternoon, Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe speaking at a joint press conference at his official residence, attended by Léon Charles the Director General ai of the Haitian National Police Ministers Rockefeller Vincent (Justice), Audain Fils Bernadel (Interior), Jean Walnard Dorneval (Defense) the Departmental Delegate for the West and senior officers of the Police, clearly explained that "this group of people was preparing to carry out a coup with the help from members of specialized police units assigned to the security of the National Palace, (USGPN)."

Stating "They had contacted high-ranking police officers at the National Palace whose mission was to arrest the President [...] and facilitate the installation of a new provisional President who would have made the transition [...]" Thanks to the services of intelligence and security, this coup was foiled.

According to available audio tapes, the installation ceremony of the Transitional President was scheduled for February 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.

In his intervention Léon Charles explained "the police and the judiciary have found documents attesting to the preparations for this coup, including the text of the inaugural speech of the new provisional President as well as a memorandum of understanding which contains several others people including once again that of the judge involved in this coup.

In addition to the documents found on the spot in the house searched in agreement with the judicial authorities, the authorities seized weapons 2 M4 assault rifles, a mini Uzi, 3 9mm pistols and several machetes as well as a certain quantity of ammunition and money in American currency and Gourdes.

In his intervention, the Minister of Justice Rockefeller Vincent, made it clear that Judge Ivickel Dabrésil was not arrested at his home [contrary to certain rumors] but in the company of armed individuals "Given the location where the judge was, he cannot avail himself of immunity, he is therefore liable to the ordinary court."

In addition, the Minister swept aside the protest of the National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH) which taxed the arrest of the judge as a kidnapping and which appealed to the Magistrates of the 18 jurisdictions of the Republic for a work stoppage until the release of Judge Dabrésil.
