The Conference of Catholic Bishops of Haiti (CEH) brings to everyone's attention that Mgr. Pierre-Antoine Paulo, Bishop emeritus of Port-de-Paix (March 2008 to April 2020) died at the age of 77, at the Reformed Hospital of Saintard (Arcahaie) where he was rushed on 4 February 2021, following an accidental fall at the inn of the Benedictine monastery of Cariès.

"This news plunges into pain and mourning the entire Catholic Church in Haiti, the diocese of Port-de-Paix, the Congregation of Oblate Missionaries of Mary Immaculate, the citizens of Camp-Perrin and the entire Haitian population," writes the CEH in its note.

The date and location of Bishop Paulo's funeral will be announced later.
