Michel Présumé, Director General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH), informs that in order to increase electricity production throughout the country, EDH took delivery on January 15 of new high capacity generators which will soon be installed in several large cities of the country (Saint-Marc, Saint-Raphaël, Miragoâne, Jacmel, Cayes and Cap-Haitien)

In the process, EDH announces to subscribers in the Northeast that 2 new generators of 1.8 MW each will soon be installed at the Fort-Liberté power plant.

3 other groups of 1.8 MW will be installed at the Jacmel power station pending the installation of the solar photovoltaic system. The motors and transformers are on their way and very soon customers in Jacmel, Marigot and Cayes-Jacmel will have 24-hour electricity.
