Haiti - FLASH : Luis Abinader met Jovenel Moïse in the border area
Sunday, Luis Abinader President of the Dominican Republic was on a supervisory tour of the southern border area of the country, where he notably visited the inter-agency border complex in Carrizal and the detachment of Antonio Duvergé Province of Elías Piña.
The Dominican President took advantage of his visit to the border area of Elías Piña to meet the President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse, a meeting which was no accident and which had been planned with complete discretion.
Moïse confirmed this meeting on his Twitter account "Today I met Dominican President Luis Abinader to discuss the priorities of the bilateral agenda : security, health, trade, migration, energy, as well as developments of the political process in Haiti. A joint statement will be published shortly."
Abinader also confirmed this meeting on his official Twitter account "Today I held a meeting with the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, to review the bilateral agenda : security, health, trade, migration, energy and evolution of the political process in Haiti. We will publish a state of the agreements in the coming days."
