On Tuesday, as part of the Haitian-Taiwanese Cooperation, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) received 1,000 tons of rice, a donation from Taiwan (Republic of China), intended to provide food assistance to poor people throughout the national territory on the occasion of the end of year celebrations.

This week, FAES launched food kits distribution operations in the metropolitan area to more than 5,000 vulnerable people living in several neighborhoods in the municipalities of Tabarre and Cité Soleil, among others in Fleuriot, Tabarre 27 and 52, Lakou Bertin, Belekou, Brooklyn , Canaan 3, distribution and which will expand to the other 9 departments with the delivery of dry rations to more than 20,000 needy citizens.

Charles Ernest Chatelier, Director General of FAES expressed his gratitude to Taiwan for this unconditional donation which will allow FAES to continue its distributions to the most disadvantaged
