Alain Juppé, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, and his counterpart Monique Gagnon-Tremblay, Minister of International Relations and Minister responsible of the Francophonie in Quebec, visiting Paris this week, have announced the launch of a call for projects franco-québécois (Quebec) of decentralized cooperation for the assistance to the reconstruction in Haiti.

This call is based on a fund of cooperation specific endowed with 88.000 euros supplied equally by the authorities of France and of Quebec. The fund aims to encourage tripartite partnerships between the territorial collectivities of France, of Quebec and Haitian, in order to assist the areas devastated by the earthquake of January 2010. The selected projects will be implemented by the end of 2011.
