Jérémie : student walk

In Jérémie, several hundred students from three high schools marched in the streets of the city to denounce the absence of teachers (on strike) in the classroom for several weeks. The students went to other high schools and private institutions to force other students to join their protest movement. Qualification and access to work

A strategic planning meeting took place between the representatives of the Qualification and Access to Work System (SQUAT), Maguy Durcé, the Secretary of State for Training and Dikel Delvariste the new Director General of the National Institute for Professional Training (INFP).

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID - Haiti) reforestation project helps farmers produce and store foods such as grass or hay to improve the health of their livestock and other animals. Due to the 2019 drought, thousands of farmers lost their crops and more than 3,000 head of cattle died from lack of food and water. Through partnerships with livestock manager associations and regional universities, the USAID project provided 8 demonstration plots to serve as a training ground for farmers to learn how to produce nutritious and fast-growing crops for their animals. During the drought, more animals will survive.

3 new community restaurants

Canapé-vert, La Saline, Sore (3rd Constituency) these three neighborhoods of the commune of Port-au-Prince now each have a community restaurant thanks to the Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund, Charles Ernest Chatelier who has honor its promises by accepting the request of community leaders in these areas. These three community restaurants were supplied with food items such as rice, beans, oil and salmon.
