Haiti - Football : Haitian Professional Football Championship, important dates (2020-2021 season)

Thursday, August 13 at the El Rancho hotel in Pétion-ville, in the presence of the large family of national football and the sports press, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) and the Organizing Commission of the Haitian Professional Football Championship (COCHAFOP) officially launched the 2020-2021 season of the Haitian Professional Football Championship (CHFP) whose opening match is set for Saturday, September 5 and whose format (2 series) and the number of teams (18) n has not changed. At the end of the season, 3 teams will be relegated to D2.

After several stops due to different events (socio-political problems, Covid-19), the major club competition in Haiti, the CHFP, is back throughout the country.

However, to ensure the smooth running of CHFP, the FHF and COCHAFOP have decided to impose strict measures to protect all actors (supporters, players, managers, referees), among others.

Dr Jean Patrick Alfred, who is responsible for health affairs within the FHF Executive Committee, presented the health provisions that the Federation intends to adopt for the competition.

Sanitary measures :

Anyone wishing to attend a meeting must wear a mask while respecting the imposed distance. At the entrance barrier, access will be refused to anyone whose temperature is above 38°C.

Hand washing points must imperatively be available at the entrance to each site.

It is therefore the duty of each Club to inquire about the state of health of its players. Body temperature monitoring of the staff of each team will be required and access to training will be prohibited to anyone with a temperature above normal.
