During a ceremony held at the Northeast Departmental Agricultural Directorate, Patrix Sévère, the Minister of Agriculture accompanied by his Director General Branly Eugène, in the presence of Donald Jean-François Departmental Delegate for the Northeast, Marc-Edouard DieuJuste Director of Agricultural Infrastructure of the Ministry and representatives of the Ministry in the departments of North and North-East, a lot of brand new equipment, including 45 tractors, 19 pumps (3" and 4"), 6 pumps 12 " and two corn mills, has been distributed to producers in the North and Northeast.

Following a memorandum of understanding signed with several agricultural companies, part of this equipment is granted in order to increase their production capacity. In addition, in order to also support small producers, the Ministry has made several of these machines available to the Communal Agricultural Offices (BAC).

These are high-performance tractors, the Minister Minister Sévère mentioned 4X4 tractors from 35 to 45 HP which are designed for wet surfaces in particular in the production of rice. It was also question wereof corn mills and pumps that will be used to irrigate small areas.

In the Minister's opinion, this brand new equipment will "boost" agricultural production in the two departments concerned.
