Haiti - Economy : The Government is working on the resumption of international flights
On Wednesday, representatives of the Ministry of Public Works, the Laboratory and Research Epidemiology Directorate, the National Airport Authority, the General Customs Administration and the National Civil Aviation Office, among others, gathered at Toussaint Louverture International Airport with representatives of several air operators : American Airlines, Sunrise Airways Jet Blue and Spirit Airlines, of Sunrise in order to reflect on the establishment of a working group to enable the resumption of air activities.
Health and safety measures necessary for the resumption of air links, economic considerations were notably discussed.
At the end of this first meeting, all agreed on the setting up of a working group including all the actors concerned in order to reach a consensus on how to reactivate air links while applying the principles of social distancing which remain the main challenges of this resumption of flights...
