Haiti - Health : Denial on the lack of medical oxygen
Gaz Industriels Associés S.A. (Haiti) informs that contrary to rumors suggesting that there is a lack of oxygen for medical needs in Haiti, the factory is barely operating at 30% of its capacity due to the almost total shutdown of the industrial sector.
The directorate specifies "We fill the cylinders daily for hospitals from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or more, on Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and even on Sunday when necessary.
The supply of hospitals with medical oxygen is not compromised as some people would suggest, because all the arrangements have been made on our side to ensure the regular supply.
However, as the number of cylinders in circulation is limited, we suggest that hospitals have them filled as soon as they are empty while waiting to receive more."
