Towards a reduction in diaspora remittances

The Inter-American Dialogue report "Migrants and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on remittances" published in March 2020 predicts that Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Honduras have the weakest economies, will be the countries most affected because they are more dependent on remittances from their respective diaspora, stressing that the Covid-19 pandemic will cause a recession which will strike a blow to the jobs and remittances of the diaspora of these countries.
