The Ministry of Public Health is aware of the 2 new cases of Covid-19 in Haiti, bringing the total to 18 confirmed cases as of April 2, following the latest results of the national laboratory test for suspects.

According to the distribution of cases the departments of West and Southeast are the two departments with the most cases with respectively 12 and 4 cases, the other two cases are found in the departments of Artibonite and North-West.

The age distribution of the confirmed cases is as follows: 0-19 years: 1 case; 20-44 years 10 cases; 45-46 years 5 cases; 65 and over: 2 cases.

The MSPP recommends to:

- Stay home

- Always wash your hands

- Avoid putting your hands in your mouth, nose and eyes

- Always keep a distance of 5 steps from other people if you have to travel for an emergency.
