Haiti - Covid-19 : Closure of Universities, message from the UEH

Following the government decree declaring a state of health emergency on the national territory https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30311-haiti-flash-president-moise-declares-a-state-of-health-emergency-text-of-the-order.html , the Executive Council informs the members of the community of the State University of Haiti (UEH) in particular and the general public that :

1) Classes and all other face-to-face academic activities are suspended until further notice in all of the UEH entities operating on national territory;

2) The administration of the different entities of the UEH, including the Rectorate will continue to operate in order to offer essential administrative services by establishing a rotation according to which 50% of the employees, members of the administrative staff is mobilized in turn and on a rotation whose frequency does not exceed 15 days;

3) Members of Management Boards, Deans, Vice-deans, Secretaries General, Directors, Deputy Directors and any other employee assigned to certain special tasks are not affected by this rotation;

4) Professors are strongly encouraged to continue the work of supervision of dissertations, the dispensation of courses, research activities, etc... by prioritizing, as much as possible, Information and Communication Technologies for Education (TICE). The IT Department and the Communication Unit of the UEH are at the disposal of all professors and students who wish to advance according to this modality.
