Haiti - Justice : Prosecutor's office accepts the hypothesis of a sabotage in the case of the «blackout»

Me Harycidas Auguste, Government Commissioner and head of the Prosecutor's Office, responsible for instructing the investigation into the case of the blackout who occurred during the ceremony of swearing in of a President-elect Michel Martelly, May 14, accepts the hypothesis of a sabotage.

Me Harycidas Auguste explained that this hypothesis is based on evidence gathered during the hearings of many people including : the responsible for the ceremony, technicians, officials of the Government, the outgoing President René Préval, President-elect Michel Martelly and international dignitaries.

A hypothesis that confirms the statements of Edmond Mulet [May 17, 2011], who did not need 14 days to affirm that the power cut during the swearing of the 56th President of Haiti, Michel Martelly was a premeditated act. Revealing that the electric cables supplying the building where the ceremony took place were cut with a machete ! "It is not possible, It is an anti-democratic act", Mr. Mullet stated. Speaking without ambiguity, of an attempt of "destabilization", he invited the judicial authorities to punish, without delay, the perpetrators of this act...

The Government Commissioner indicated that the "electrical cable had been probably cutted" and that he had sufficient elements to seize the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) for further investigation. He clarified that during the investigation of this case, no arrest or apprehension in that case had been made.
