Haiti - FLASH : Haitian diplomatic missions close abroad
Consulate in France :
Due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19), taking into account the new restrictive measures of the French Government, to avoid any risk of contamination with the virus (Covid-19), the Consulate General of Haiti in Paris is in the obligation to close its doors to the public, from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until further notice.

French Guiana Consulate :
The Consulate General of Haiti in French Guiana informs users that due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus, taking into account the new restrictive measures of the French Government, to avoid any risk of contamination by the virus, the Consulate is in the obligation to close its doors to the public, from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until further notice. Embassy in Canada :
The Embassy of Haiti in Canada presents its compliments to the Haitian Community of Ottawa-Gatineau and wishes to inform that to respond to instructions to block the spread of COVID-19 the Embassy is CLOSED. For all emergencies you can reach us on 613-796-4718.

Guadeloupe / Martinique / Saint Martin and Dominica Consultat :
The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Guadeloupe / Martinique / Saint Martin, French side and Dominica wishes to inform his compatriots and the general public that given the rapid spread of COVID-19 and new measures by the French government, to avoid any risk of contamination by the virus, the consulate will close its doors to the public from Monday March 16 at 12 noon, until further notice. Schedule, staff and instructions restrictions:
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs the diplomatic missions and consular posts that as part of the measures to protect diplomatic and consular agents against the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic, the following has been decided :

"From Monday, March 16, 2020, the diplomatic missions and consular posts, as well as the commercial offices, are called upon to define a part-time work schedule, by mobilizing the strict essential staff on a rotation basis in order to provide a minimum service. For the rest of the staff, telework is highly recommended.

These restrictive measures do not concern the Diplomatic Missions, the Consular Posts and the Commercial Offices of Haiti that are not in the areas directly affected by Covid-19. However, it remains at the discretion of the Chef de Mission to judge the relevance of the application of certain measures according to the development of the crisis in his area of ​​accreditation.

In addition, no member of the diplomatic and consular staff is authorized to leave their accreditation area, except with the express authorization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Chancellery remains fully mobilized to monitor the spread of Covid-19, while inviting diplomatic and consular agents to scrupulously observe the recommendations and public health measures taken by the respective states to which they are accredited."
