Haiti - Heritage : USA returns to the Haitian Government stolen objects of ancient art

This Friday morning during a ceremony at the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE), in the presence in particular of the Ambassador of the United States in Haiti, Michèle Sison, of the FBI Deputy Director, Michael Nordwall of the FBI Special Agent, Timothy Carpenter, of Erol Josué, Director of the National Bureau of Ethnology and many officials of the Haitian and American governments, the Government of the United States will proceed to the restitution to the Haitian Government of stolen pieces and objects of ancient arts.

These are more than 400 pieces and works of art that have been illegally brought into the United States and that the United States Government and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have seized. Note that representatives of the United States Government have worked in collaboration with the BNE to verify and confirm their provenance.
