Haiti - FLASH : Professional Studies Scholarship Dessalines & Capois 2020, call for candidates

The Association of Haitians-Professionals (AHP) announces the update of its Dessalines & Capois Professional Studies Scholarship program for 2020.

This AHP professional scholarship program is open to new and former Haitian scholarship recipients and to people of Haitian origin enrolled in a professional training diploma program in the United States or in Haiti in an accredited college and/or university, or in a technical school.

The scholarships are intended to help the recipients to cover the school expenses (tuition fees, books, etc...).

As part of this program, 3 students in the United States and 3 students in Haiti will be rewarded based on their academic achievements and the pursuit of their current professional goals.

The involvement and commitment to make a significant or positive impact in their communities are also factors in the selection of students.

Eligibility :

  • Be Haitian by birth or of Haitian origin (at least one parent must be Haitian);

  • Reside in the United States or Haiti;

  • Be currently enrolled or have been accepted into a degree program in: A university or a technical school accredited for two or four years in the United States or in a higher education institution and / or technical school recognized by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MENFP) in Haiti.

Submission deadline: March 1, 2020 at 11:59 am EST.
