Haiti - Culture : D-9, The Carnival of Jacmel in great preparation

9 days before the 28th edition of the Jacmel carnival (South-East), the city is in full effervescence, the carnival craftsmen are working tirelessly to be ready for the parade on February 16, which will take place this year around the theme "Imaj Jakmel se imaj pa m" chosen by the town hall to encourage the Jacmelians to do everything to make Jacmel the most hospitable city in Haiti.

Many believe that we will have to work hard to show that the city respects this year's theme.

For all the Carnival trades it is a race against the clock having been considerably delayed in their preparations by the socio-political crisis, its blockages and insecurity.

Musical groups, dance troupes, foot bands and disguised bands are active, rehearsing and preparing without counting with passion.

Note that once again during this 28th edition, the group "Pazapa" will organize a parade for people with reduced mobility.
