Haiti - Diaspora Montreal : Black History Month

As part of Black History Mont which will take place in February 2020 around the theme of Youth, Montreal North and several partner organizations are collaborating for a third year, in order to present a program intended to raise awareness of the contribution of black communities to Quebec society in general and to Montreal North in particular. Meet artists, rap creation workshops, tales for young people, conferences, exhibitions, world music, parade, dance and cinema will be on display during the month of February.

"It is with pride that we want to highlight the contribution of members of black communities to our borough, when they represent nearly 25% of our population [...] We invite everyone to take advantage of the programming and to discover the rich cultural diversity of our environment," said Ms. Christine Black, Mayor of the borough of Montreal North.
