Haiti - Port-au-Prince : ReBalance of the 1st Sunday of pre-carnival activities

The Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince greets all the DJs and carnivalists who took part in this first Sunday of pre-carnival festivities and congratulates the agents of the Civil Protection service and the firefighters of the Town Hall as well as the Haitian National Police (PNH) who did what was necessary to ensure calm and security on the parade route.

For this first Sunday, the Civil Protection unit of Port-au-Prince, through its advanced medical posts treated 6 asthma attacks, 1 fracture of the lower limb, 2 open wounds (arms and head), 1 case of major head injury and reported one gunshot death following an assault by an armed individual for unknown reasons who was arrested by the PNH.

The Town Hall of Port-au-Prince reiterates its commitment to DJs and revelers to ensure the smooth running of the next 4 Sunday pre-carnival activities.
