Haiti - NOTICE : New deadline to obtain the new CIN

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security deplores that due to the crisis which has paralyzed the activities in the country https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29528-haiti-alert-d-15-before-the-expiry-date-of-the-old-cins.html and given the too large number of requests in the offices of the National Identification Office (ONI) in the various cities of the country, many citizens do have not been able to obtain their new National Identification Card (CIN) by the deadline originally set for December 31, 2019.

Consequently, a new deadline expiring March 1, 2020 is granted to citizens of the age required to withdraw this new identification card, the only one that will be admitted from April 1, 2020.

The Ministry of Justice reminds all those concerned that they must go to an ONI office with their old national identification card, if it had been issued to them accompanied by either a copy of the act of birth or a copy of the extract from the archives, either a copy of the baptismal certificate,

Those who will soon be 18 must go to an ONI Office on the date of their birthday or if this day is a holiday on the nearest working day. They must be provided with the same documents as mentioned for the completion of the required formalities.
