In its last report published last week, the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH) takes a new look at the armed violence in the Bel-Air neighborhood that took place from November 4 to 8, 2019.

During this period several people were killed or wounded by gunshots, many houses were burnt down as well as cars and motorbikes. The very detailed investigation report provides the identity of the victims, the places and dates of these acts, the gang involved as well as the names of the political figures indexed in the events recorded at Bel-Air. But also the development of events day by day and the facts after this massacre.

The RNDDH also criticizes in its report, the Secretary of State for Public Security, Léon Ronsard Saint-Cyr for having hired the gang leader Jimmy Cherizier aka "Barbecue" to clean up the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and take Bel-Air control to prevent the continuation of anti-government rallies against a large sum of money. Charges flatly dismissed by Léon Ronsard Saint-Cyr
