The new Canadian Ambassador to Haiti, Stuart Savage, accredited to Haiti since October 23, was received this week at the Municipal Palace of Delmas by Mayor Wilson Jeudy.

Placing this courtesy visit as a sign of friendship between the two countries, Mayor Jeudy presented the overall vision of his administration which makes Delmas a model municipality.

The two men exchanged views on the municipality's projects and discussed subjects of common interest, in particular in the area of ​​decentralized cooperation

We discussed the situation between the two countries and the municipality of Delmas in particular, in particular the pursuit and intensification of cooperation between the Embassy and the Municipality in the cultural fields, economic and territorial development as well that there is an interest in continuing to broaden, diversify and deepen this bilateral cooperation.

Mayor Wilson Jeudy underscored the importance of developing initiatives at the municipal level and commended Canada’s engagement with Haiti.

For his part, Ambassador Savage renewed Canada's to strengthen its ties of friendship and cooperation with the commune of Delmas in various fields.
