The Court of the First Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo Est, in the Dominican Republic, sentenced to 20 years in prison a pretended Evangelical Pastor of Haitian nationality, Jean Benoit Son Léger aka "Jean Ben" (70 years) for sexual abuse on a a girl of the same nationality under the age of 12, whom he put in pregnant and whose name was not disclosed by the courts in order to protect the integrity of the young mother.

The facts date back to 2018, when the Pastor, using his influence as spiritual leader, asked the girl's mother to send her home (in the Mendoza sector) to help her with her household chores when he took advantage of it to sexually abuse the child.

On November 3, 2018, the mother discovering the abuse made her daughter complained to the Procuratorate of Santo Domingo who immediately opened an investigation through the Integrated Attention Unit for Victims of Domestic Sexual Abuse.

During the investigation, medical tests on the girl determined that she was 19 weeks pregnant with Pastor, a baby she subsequently gave birth to.

In her testimony, the girl said that the Pastor had told her that if she did not have sex with him, she would go to hell and that it was normal to have this kind of relationship for all the girls...

In addition to the 20 years in prison that the pedophile Pastor will have to serve at the national penitentiary of Victoria, the court also imposed the payment of a fine of 200,000 pesos.
