In a note dated November 21 from which we obtained a copy, Jean Marie Vorbe explains "SOGENER learned with amazement that shots were heard on November 21, 2019, around the palace of justice of Port au Prince, at a close time the one to which the Government Commissioner had originally invited him to appear. In the volatile security climate that has raged near the prosecutor's office in recent times, it is not uncommon to record acts of banditry often violent that could explain the incident of the day.

Nevertheless, given the mediated nature of the file that concerns it and given the number of sympathy calls received, SOGENER deems it useful to clarify for the general public that on November 20, 2019, it had formally served, by bailiff, on the Prosecutor's Office, through his lawyers, his choice not to appear at the Public Prosecutor's Office at the appointed day and time. It is therefore unable to comment on the facts except to say that it was not on the scene and was not logically supposed to be there.

The decision of SOGENER not to respond to the invitation, far from being an irreverence, is only the implementation of a legal strategy, restrained and legally argued by its counsel, as admitted by the Haitian laws. "
