As announced in its action plan for the 2019-2020 school year, at the request of the Ministry of National Education (MENFP), the National Education Fund (FNE) proceeds to the financing of the payment of arrears of salary, for the year 2018-2019, for of agents of the Haitian education system.

To date, 116 million and 540,000 Gourdes have already been disbursed in the departments of South, Southeast and Nippes https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29309-haiti-news-zapping.html to pay arrears owed to school principals and contract teachers, teachers and support staff in Ministry schools.

Recall that these agents of the education system are paid under the Free Universal Schooling Program (PSUGO) which has been replaced by the Special Program of Free Education (PROSGATE).

The total amount for the payment of salary arrears is about 800 million gourdes. The agents concerned will receive their checks from the Ministry as the Superior Court of Accounts approves the various contracts and will forward them to the Ministry for the necessary follow-up.
