On Friday, October 11, former Haiti Ambassador to Mexico, Guy G. Lamothe, who became the new Permanent Representative of the Trade Development Office of Haiti in China, traveled to Heyuan, Guangdong Province, and had interviews with Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation.

The two men discussed the contribution of the former representative of China, Ms. Gisele Menos, during her tenure as a diplomat in promoting and developing cooperation between Haiti and China.

President Li Ruohong told Guy G. Lamothe that although China and Haiti have not yet established official diplomatic relations, trade between the two countries in the economic and cultural spheres has become increasingly narrow.

Note that as a Chinese NGO and international organization, the China World Peace Foundation has unique advantages in cooperation with countries that have not established diplomatic relations.

President Li said he was ready to innovate a model of cooperative development and establish a cooperative relationship between his Foundation and the Haiti-Dominican Republic Foundation for Peace (Zile Foundation), in order to broaden the scope of cooperation in the Caribbean ; the creation of the Haiti-China Chamber of Commerce and the creation of an e-commerce platform to help more Caribbean goods enter the Chinese market.
