Haiti - FLASH : Cantave assaulted, his medical clinic and political office vandalized and set on fire

Carl Murat Cantave, Senate Speaker reports being physically assaulted by threatening individuals "I was attacked by chimeras accompanied by Senator Kato in my office. In addition to his clinic and the destruction of the materials it contained, the premises of the building housing the political office of the President of the Senate were ransacked, furniture and equipment thrown to the street before being burned.

These demonstrators also vandalized the premises of the Louise Gabrielle Foundation, owned by Senator Cantave's wife, located near her political office. The Office of the Departmental Delegation of Artibonite (Avenue of Dattes) were also ransacked.

Following this series of attacks, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) deployed a protection force in front of the residence of Senator Cantave...
