The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) associates with the Ministry of Environment (MDE) and the Permanent Secretariat for Risk and Disaster Management (SPGRD) to inform that a light earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded yesterday Thursday, September 5 at 8:10 and 40 seconds of the morning.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 19.75° North, 73.01° West, about 13 km north-east of Anse Rouge and 22 km south-southeast of Jean Rabel, at a depth of 13 Km .

"No damage to report," informs the Directorate of Civil Protection (CPD)
