Haiti - Diplomacy : Argentina appointed a new Ambassador to Haiti
The Government of Argentina has appointed Raul Marcelo Sébaste, as new Ambassador in Haiti [decree 494/2011], in replacement of José María Vázquez.
Raul Marcelo Sébaste, born in 1959, is a lawyer, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National University of Cordoba [1982] and of the Instituto del Servicio Exterior de la Nación in 1986, he speaks fluent English and French. After his studies, he served in the Secretariat of worship until 1987 and then until 1990 to the Directorate General for North America of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Between 1990 and 1995 he worked at the Centre for the Promotion and to the Consulate General in New York. A year later, he work within the Secretariat for external relations and Affairs of Latin America. In 1996 he joined the cabinet of Mr. Canciller, before assuming the post of Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Argentina in Greece. In 2004 he entered to the service of the Directorate General of foreign policy, then from 2005 to 2006 he held the post of Under-secretary of foreign policy. Since 2006 he has worked at the Dirección Nacional de Ceremonial.
