Recognizing the "existing difficulties" the Minister has urged the relevant authorities of both States, to offer a "better attention" to the situation of Haitian workers in Dominican Republic. He particularly stressed the need for a bilateral migration agreement and the ratification by both countries of the International Convention on the Rights of Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. The religious want "the continuity of dialogue with the new Haitian authorities to jointly seek solutions to the problems of Haitian immigrants."
