Some Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce appeal the next government to adopt effective measures to create favorable conditions for the development of different regions of the country.

Pierre Henry Dennery, President of the Chamber of Commerce of South hopes that investments are made in growth sectors, including agriculture, agro-industry, education, vocational training and infrastructure, he expects "a policy of decentralization and of development for each region of the country and recommends the strengthening of hospitals and health centers in the Southeast region. In addition, Dennery added "If the South could have an international airport [...] if we invests in development work at the level of the 140 kilometers of beach there in the South, it would promote tourism development, [...]" recalling that "the South has become one of the largest tourist destinations in the region."

For his part, Nahum Dorvil, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Artibonite, has pointed out that the laws that govern traders are not enforced in the country citing the non application of the law that required anyone who wants to engage in commercial activities, to enroll in a chamber of commerce. "The Governments have taken no action to enforce this law for fear of having against them, a strong private sector." According to him, the state should not consider the private sector as an enemy "There must be a frank and fruitful dialogue between the two "for the benefit of the development of the regions because the country can develop only through the Republic of Port-au-Prince" adding that the private business sector expects a favorable climate for investment and the security essential to their activities.
