Localities of Los Cacahos and Biassou :

At the commune of Cerca-la-Source, precisely in the locality of Los Cacahos, DINEPA proceeded to the rehabilitation of a Drinking Water Supply System (SAEP). The nature of the work consisted of partially repairing an adduction line and structure in line, 2 tanks (180 m3 and 130 m3) and to build a kiosk. In parallel, the SAEP of Biassou has also been rehabilitated. It consists of : 9 fountains, 10 kiosks, a reservoir of 55 m3, a catchment, a line of adduction work linear. It is planned the construction of a toilet block and 50 connections at the two localities.

The total cost of the works is estimated at 40.4 million Gourdes.

Localities of Boc Banic and Cass :

At the locality of Boc Banic (municipality of Thomassique), a SAEP was built which includes : a reservoir of 75 m3, a pumping system, an office of Committee of Provisioning Drinking Water and Sanitation (CAEPA), 6 kiosks, a 200-foot drill, 48 solar panels, 3,500 linear meters of pipes laid. Regarding the SAEP of Casse (Lascahobas), it is composed of 18 solar panels, 2,800 linear meters of pipes laid, 1 pumping system, 5 kiosks, 1 tank of 80 m3, a CAEPA office, 1 toilet block and a 200 feet drilling.

The total cost of the work is estimated at 417, 384.00 gourdes.

Guito Édouard, the Director General of DINEPA, during a follow-up visit to these localities, reiterated DINEPA's desire to improve access to drinking water throughout the country. At the same time, he showed the benefits of using solar energy during the construction of the SAEPs. He urged the general population and CAEPA members in particular, to take care of the newly built structures and to pay for the service provided, in order to perpetuate the networks.
